Applying to Pupil’s e-cards on www.eriga.lv extended to September 9
Parents of pupils of 1st, 5th and 10th forms, as well as of those pupils who have changed the educational institution, can apply for Pupil’s e-cards on portal www.eriga.lv until September 9. “Rīgas satiksme” calls on parents not to postpone the completion of the application form to the last moment, because, if they complete it on September 10 or later, they will have to visit one of the company’s customer service centres to receive it.
„Rīgas satiksme” reminds that parents have to apply for Pupil’s e-cards on portal www.eriga.lv, where data about the pupil and his\her school will be selected automatically. Parents have only to attach the pupil’s photo to the application form. Based on the application, „Rīgas satiksme” will manufacture Pupil’s ecards and deliver them to respective schools where the cards will be signed by the headmaster and issued to pupils.
If the application is completed on www.eriga.lv after September 9, the Pupil’s e-card will be issued in one of “Rīgas satiksme” customer service centres after presenting an identity document (a passport or an eID card). For the electronic card to fulfil the functions of the Pupil’s e-card, it has to be delivered to the school’s headmaster for signing.
To save parents’ time, application for Pupil’s e-card and its restoration has been made more convenient and faster. In 2015, Riga City Council’s Information Technology Centre in cooperation with „Rīgas satiksme” and the Department of Education, Culture and Sports developed an e-service called „Applying for Pupil’s e-card”, which enabled parents to order the new card online.
